We were indeed honored to feature one of Central Ohio’s quintessential servant lawyers on our February/March cover. Marques Hillman Richeson uses his platform as a Harvard-trained lawyer and Partner at the global law firm at Jones Day to serve his clients and community. In doing so, he has taken to heart the words of his late mentor at Harvard Law School, Professor Charles J. Ogletree who advised him: “you can do well and do good at the very same time.”
Marques operates as a national coordinating counsel for Fortune 500 and global companies, managing litigation in federal and state courts, at trial and appellate levels. In service to his community, Marques has leveraged his legal training and experience to engage in pro bono advocacy in death penalty, wrongful conviction, clemency, asylum, and LGBTQ right cases. You can read more about Marques community engagements in or laters issue of Mahogany Columbus or how about getting a subscription to have each issue sent to your home or office?
