iHeartMedia and The Black Effect Podcast Network, in collaboration with Atlanta journalist Hunter Gilmore, have launched a new daily podcast, “Hunting 4 Answers.” The show, which debuted on February 24, aims to address the critical and often neglected issue of missing and murdered Black women and girls across the U.S.
“Hunting 4 Answers” is set to highlight the overlooked and silenced stories of Black women whose cases have remained unresolved or ignored. “For too long, the stories of missing and murdered Black women have gone overlooked. Their cases have been ignored, their voices have been silenced. The goal of ‘Hunting 4 Answers’ is to change that,” Gilmore explained. “Together, we are making sure these women are seen, heard, and never forgotten.”
The podcast will feature both current and cold cases, focusing on issues that disproportionately affect Black women, such as domestic violence, trafficking, and systemic neglect. Each episode promises to offer new insights, uncover details, and encourage actionable steps for the audience.
Dollie S. Bishop, President of The Black Effect Podcast Network, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative. “Our mission has always been to create a platform that elevates often overlooked voices and shed light on narratives that matter in our community,” Bishop stated. “This show is much more than a true crime podcast – it’s a chance to shine a light on the untold stories of missing and murdered Black women and help find answers for their families.”
Listeners can find “Hunting 4 Answers” on the iHeartRadio app and wherever podcasts are available, thanks to distribution by iHeartPodcasts.
