The Atlanta Hawks and Audacy have announced the extension of their broadcasting partnership, ensuring that WZGC-FM (Sports Radio 92.9 The Game) remains the flagship station for the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network. This continued collaboration promises to deliver all 82 Hawks games to fans across Georgia through a network of affiliates.
Celebrating his 40th season, Atlanta Sports Hall of Famer and Georgia Radio Hall of Famer Steve Holman, known as the Voice of the Hawks, will continue his streak of over 3,000 consecutive Hawks broadcasts, covering every regular season and playoff game. Mike Conti, who has served the network since 2014 in various capacities including as a pregame, halftime, and postgame host, as well as a game commentator, will join Holman in bringing live game action to listeners.
Hawks President of Business Enterprise and Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Saltzman expressed enthusiasm about the extension. “We are thrilled to witness the ongoing growth and success of Sports Radio 92.9 The Game as our flagship station,” he said. “This partnership ensures our expanding fan base continues to enjoy top-notch Hawks basketball coverage and engaging sports talk daily.”
The partnership also features specialized programming such as the “Hawks Basketball Show” and the “Hawks CEO Show featuring Steve Koonin,” with contributions from key figures including General Manager Landry Fields and Head Coach Quin Snyder. These segments aim to provide fans with exclusive insights and updates directly from the Hawks’ leadership.
Audacy Atlanta Senior Vice President and Market Manager Rick Caffey highlighted the longevity of the partnership, which now spans over a decade. “We are proud to uphold our enduring relationship with the Atlanta Hawks,” Caffey remarked. “Our commitment extends through our multi-platform coverage on Sports Radio 92.9 The Game, V103, and globally via the Audacy app, ensuring that Hawks fans everywhere have access to comprehensive and immersive game coverage and team insights.”
