SiriusXM announced the launch of Grown Folk JAMZ, set to begin broadcasting on Wednesday, January 8 at 6am ET. The new station will be available on SiriusXM Channel 362, through the GrownFolkJAMZ.com website, the SiriusXM App and the dedicated Grown Folk JAMZ App.
Grown Folk JAMZ aims to cater to the nuanced tastes of the R&B listener who enjoys a mix of today’s hits and timeless classics. The station promises to deliver a curated experience, featuring a diverse range of R&B music, “all in one hour, every hour,” according to Don Sherman, the Director of Operations at Grown Folk JAMZ. Sherman emphasizes that the station’s format is designed to evoke deep emotional connections with its audience, reflecting a lifestyle rather than just a musical preference.
The station’s team comprises experienced radio personalities who have previously entertained audiences across fifteen states in the U.S. and internationally in the United Kingdom, broadcasting not only on terrestrial stations but also globally via streaming platforms.
Todd Reynolds, the Program Director of Grown Folk JAMZ, highlighted the station’s comprehensive approach to its musical offerings. “We have all the R&B related formats, all on one station, every hour,” Reynolds stated, underscoring the station’s commitment to meeting the diverse preferences of today’s listeners who access music across multiple platforms and devices.
