Calling all aspiring artists, producers, and performers — this summer, your dream gets real. At Summer at LACM 2025, students ages 12+ will study with the Grammy-nominated and platinum-certified producers, songwriters, and musicians behind music’s biggest names — including Ariana Grande, Usher, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, John Mayer, Britney Spears, Michael Bublé, and more.
Hosted by the Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), this is not your average summer camp. This is your backstage pass to the industry. Through hands-on classes, live performance opportunities, studio recording sessions, and one-on-one coaching, students will be mentored by the exact people shaping the sound of today’s top-charting artists.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your vocal chops, produce your first track, write a hit song, or become the next iconic artist — LACM brings you face-to-face with the people who’ve done it.
This year’s Summer at LACM includes courses on Songwriting, Music Production, Composing for Visual Media, Music Entrepreneurship and Music Performance with Erin Workman (Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Zac Efron), Bandwidth: Jazz & the Journey with Bryan Lipps (Michael Bublé, John Mayer), and Rap & Hip-Hop: Change the World with Jameel Roberts (Ariana Grande, H.E.R., Usher).
Plus, the Pro Artist track and Independent Artist Study are back — giving artists an immersive head start in launching a serious career.
“Our faculty don’t just teach — they’re actively working in and shaping the music industry,” says Erin Workman, LACM’s Executive VP. “From writing Billboard hits to producing for superstars like Usher and Ariana, they bring real-world expertise to our programs. We’ve watched students go from shy beginners to confident artists with their own recorded music — in just days.”
Students participate in private lessons, masterclasses, ensemble performances, and real recording sessions, while also receiving personalized mentoring. All under-18 students are paired with LACM-trained mentors and supervised throughout the day.
Summer at LACM 2025 kicks off June 23 and runs in three one-week sessions. Enroll in one or join all three for the full experience.
