Audacy has officially unveiled the Audacy Creator Lab during the Podcast Movement Evolutions event in Chicago, a new initiative aimed at bolstering podcast creators and offering enhanced advertising opportunities. Building on the infrastructure of Podcorn, which Audacy acquired in 2021, this launch marks a significant expansion in Audacy’s engagement with the podcasting community.
The Audacy Creator Lab is set to revolutionize how advertisers connect with audiences by tapping into a marketplace that includes over 20,000 shows and 40,000 creators. This platform facilitates advertising across various hosting platforms, allowing for precise audience targeting and large-scale outreach.
Moreover, the initiative is committed to supporting podcast creators of all sizes, from independent to emerging talents, by providing monetization opportunities. These include host-read sponsorships and dynamically inserted pre-recorded ads, enhancing the potential for creators to earn revenue.
Chris Oliviero, Chief Business Officer at Audacy, highlighted the strategic vision of the Audacy Creator Lab, “When paired with The Audacy Podcast Network and our owned and operated shows, the Audacy Creator Lab expands our podcast offerings to now include deeply engaged, niche communities and the next generation of creators.” He further noted that the platform would continue to evolve, introducing additional advertising capabilities to benefit both creators and advertisers.
Emerging podcasters are particularly encouraged, as the platform offers free hosting and monetization services, significantly reducing barriers to entry and allowing creators to invest more resources into their passion and content production. For those interested in joining or exploring further, Audacy has opened applications and opportunities on their platform, accessible at creators.audacy.com.
